Event Details
The race is open to all PHRF-rated cruising boats of Swampscott, Nahant, and Lynn (including Volunteer) Yacht Clubs, and will follow a course marked in Broad Sound. The race will start in the vicinity of Joe Beach Buoy at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 26, 2008. The Nahant Dory Club will host a barbeque on the club patio for skippers, crew, members, and guests after the race at 6:00 pm. Prizes will be awarded to the top two finishers in each club and to the overall winner. The winning club’s burgee will be added to the perpetual trophy as the “2008 King of Clubs”. More information on race rules and scoring are included in the attached Event Sailing Instructions.
Event Fees
The race entry fee is $25 for the boat and skipper, which includes a commemorative t-shirt and the post-race barbeque. Admission to the post-race party and barbeque is $10 for all crew, members, and guests. For families, there is no charge for children under 16 years of age. Additional t-shirts are available for $10 each.
Registration
On-line registration is strongly encouraged, and very easy to do. Just fill out the form on this page, and submit it electronically. Please send checks made out to “Nahant Dory Club” for the full amount to the address listed below, and specify how many plan to attend the post-race party. Please help us by registering early. The information on the web site will be updated soon, but the registration form is active now and you can submit anytime. The roster will be updated weekly until the race.
Sponsors
Sponsors are always welcome, and in past years local merchants, especially those with links to boating, have helped to offset part of the cost of the event. If you can obtain a sponsor providing $100 worth of funds, goods, or services, your entry fee will be waived.

NDC’s Premier Event
For those who have attended before, you know what a great time it is! For newcomers, check out the photos from last year’s race and party on the this website! Food, beverages, music, and a good time to be had by all, rain or shine. Whether you are a racer or a spectator, please come and be part of the festivities.
